Is the deduplication case sensitive?

By default, yes. "Apple" and "apple" are treated as different lines. Turn off the "Case sensitive" toggle to treat them as duplicates.

Can I sort and remove duplicates at the same time?

Yes. Enable both "Remove duplicates" and "Sort A → Z" (or "Sort Z → A"). The tool applies all enabled options together.

It removes leading and trailing spaces from each line before processing. This helps catch duplicates that only differ by extra spaces.
