EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) metadata is stored inside image files by cameras and phones. It can include the camera model, capture settings, timestamp, and sometimes GPS location.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. All parsing and EXIF stripping happen entirely in your browser. Your images never leave your device.

Does removing EXIF reduce image quality?

The image is re-encoded as a JPG at 95% quality, so quality loss is minimal and visually unnoticeable for most photos.

Why does my photo show no EXIF data?

Some platforms (like social networks) strip EXIF automatically when you upload. If the photo has already been processed, metadata may already be gone.
